Food Shows 2025: A Wrap-Up

It’s been a jam-packed couple of months with Food Shows and Events here at Aston Lucas Gourmet. With the first tradeshow kicking off mid-May, followed by events all through June and July, it’s been an exciting few months of exhibiting! Here’s a wrap-up of the fun we’ve been having at shows this year.

Food Service Australia show:

The first show of the year for Aston Lucas was the Food Service Australia tradeshow. We got ourselves together and headed to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre for three days of exhibiting. We met plenty of other traders, gathered leads and handed out samples of our delicious pasta. This business-to-business show was a great way to ease into the show season on home turf.

Good Food and Wine Show Melbourne:

If we thought the Food Service show was busy, the Good Food and Wine Show was on another level! Whereas the first show had been only for food businesses, this show was aimed at consumers. And boy did they come in droves! Once again being held at the MCEC, we had a leg up on getting our bearings. This head start was well and truly needed, as when the doors opened to the public, they did not hold back! Aisles were heaving with enthusiastic patrons, eager to try the best of Melbourne’s food and wine scene. It was a busy but rewarding three days, leaving us excited to do it all again in Sydney.

Good Food and Wine Show Sydney:

Just a few weeks later it was time to do it all over again. This time, we packed up our signs and stock and had it all sent up to Sydney. Our three Sales reps and our Managing Director flew in for the occasion, spending three days at the show chatting with NSW customers and providing plenty of pasta to the hungry patrons. Two of our Sales reps took the opportunity to head up to Sydney early and meet with some existing and prospective clients. The show left us with no doubt that the NSW market responds just as eagerly to our deliciously authentic pasta as our Victorian customer-base.

Metcash Food Expo Gold Coast:

Our Sydney trip wasn’t enough travel for us, so we packed up at the start of July and headed to the Gold Coast. Chasing some northern sun and escaping the gloomy Melbourne winter seemed like a good enough reason to head interstate and check out the QLD market. The Gold Coast proved to bring more than just a warmer climate, bringing with it a wealth of exciting new leads.

Little Food Market:

It was a quick turn-around for our most recent show, with our Sales team flying back from the Gold Coast on the Wednesday and having to turn around and bump in for the next show on the Thursday. Lucky for us, stamina and enthusiasm comes easily to our reps, and they took it all in their stride. The Melbourne customer-base once again proved themselves to be a passionate bunch, with the public coming in swarms to get their hands on some Aston Lucas goodies. It would seem that we had really hit our stride by this show, with our sales being the highest of any shows this year.

Five big multi-day shows, thousands of units of pasta, innumerable amounts of tastings and an abundance of happy customers has made for a busy but hugely rewarding show season. Bring on the next one!
